Well Visits

Pediatrics is founded on the principle of prevention. Infants and toddlers see the doctor frequently to ensure healthy growth and development. Older children are recommended to have a complete physical exam annually. A sports physical can be performed at the same time as the well exam, or may be scheduled separately as needed.

Vaccines

Our doctors recommend timely childhood vaccination for preventable diseases based on the American Academy of Pediatric’s schedule. We understand parents need to make an informed decision about vaccinations for their children.

We will no longer be administering COVID-19 vaccines but recommend everyone over 6 months of age keep their vaccinations up to date. Visit Vaccines.gov for COVID‑19 vaccine options for children or adults to find a location near you.

Phlebotomy and In-Office Lab

All procedures are performed by our pediatricians and experienced staff in a calm and compassionate environment. We can provide rapid results from our in-office lab for some tests, or will send others out for more comprehensive laboratory services as needed. We perform STAT lab testing as needed.

Referrals

We are proud of providing comprehensive care to our patients but there are times when it is necessary to refer to specialists for further evaluation and treatment. We have a number of respected specialists to recommend to you when needed. Please check if your insurance requires a referral to see a specialist. All referrals require an in office or Telehealth appointment to determine the best recommendations. We cannot give retroactive referrals for consultations not initially recommended by one of our pediatricians.

Prenatal Consultations

We welcome expecting parents to visit us to learn more about our doctors, location, and our practice. We answer specific questions, discuss when to expect to make the first appointment, our hours and access to the physician on-call, and our office policies and procedures. A prenatal appointment is not required but is recommended for new parents.

With all her experience Dr Rajaram quickly recognized the limitations of the current medical system and began exploring other avenues. She studied Ayurveda for three years and then embarked on a two year fellowship in Endobiogenic Medicine and Integrative Physiology. She can now offer her patients a rational, customized treatment plan that includes Phytotherapy and Aromatherapy in addition to conventional medical treatments. For more complex and chronic conditions she is open for hour long consultations by appointment.

Breastfeeding Support

Our physicians support breastfeeding but also understand that it is not always possible or desirable. A well fed baby is the most important consideration when determining the best feeding method. We also have excellent references for certified lactation consultants in the area.

Dietary and Nutritional Counseling

Dietary and nutrition evaluations are part of every Well Exam. When there is an issue of poor weight gain, picky eating, being overweight or obesity then further evaluation is warranted. This is also the case with a family history of diabetes, high blood pressure, or high cholesterol. We may recommend fasting blood tests and more intensive counseling, or refer to a pediatric specialist or nutritionist.
